Monarch butterflies cluster on the trees during their annual migration to Mexico. I made this photograph on the coast of California at Santa Cruz. For this photograph I chose an angle where some of the light would back-light the butterfly wings creating a stained-glass look.

This is a signed, limited edition version of this photograph printed on metal. Each piece has a 3/4" inset metal frame on the back with a hanging wire. The metal frame is not visible from the front, and enables a "floating off the wall" look for the artwork.
